- 1350 mm wide, eg to suit standard 1200 mm window
- 1650 mm wide, eg to suit standard 1200 mm window
- 1950 mm wide, eg to suit standard 1500 mm window
- 2250 mm wide, eg to suit standard 1800 mm window
- 2550 mm wide, eg to suit standard 2100 mm window
- 28540 mm wide. eg to suit standard 2400 mm window

Frequently Asked Questions About Modern Window Hoods
Q1. What colours are these window hoods available in?
A1. The 6 most commonly requested colours are available for a short lead time delivery. Any colour outside of this range is a custom size / colour special order and will attract a one off set up fee on top of standard colour prices.
Q2. What is the reduction in temperature from installing hoods?
A2. That depends on a lot of factors like time of day, weather outside, size of window, your latitude & longitude and many other factors. As a broad generalised statement, you can expect a couple of degrees cooler in your entire house by blocking the heat outside the window, rather than cooling it once it is in.
Q3. Is this window hood rain proof?
A3. Yes, once installed correctly; there are no gaps between the wall and the hood. If required use appropriate sealant (not supplied), i.e. foam fillers, sillicone or Sikkaflex. Please note, this hood does not replace the need for window flashings as per Australian Building Standards.
Q4. What is the lead time for delivery to my place?
A4. Depends on where you live. The hoods & brackets have been premade but still need to be powder coated to your desired colour. This could take 10 business days, then you need to allow for the transport time from Brisbane. Sydney is generally 2-3 days travel and Melbourne 4-5 days.
Q5. Are these engineered window hoods?
A5. Our Engineers have verified the hood structures are structurally adequate to support the following wind class ensuring its stability and structural strength: AS/NZS 1170.2 – 2021 Wind actions Rated: Wind Class N3 (Non-Cyclonic Regions).
