How to Pick the Right Screen

1. Think About Privacy

  • Want complete privacy? Go for solid or dense-pattern panels.
  • Prefer partial screening? Try open, decorative designs.

2. Match Your Style

Consider the look of your home and garden. Modern homes might suit clean minimalistic patterns, while recycled plastic panels work well with natural landscapes.

3. Plan for Maintenance

  • Choose aluminium if you want low-maintenance screens.
  • Recycled Plastics planted with vines or plants will need to be cut back or hedge trimmed.

4. Measure Your Fence

Accurate measurements of your required fence height and width are key to picking the right screen size. You probably want something 1.8 - 2.0m tall, but check with your local council. Many options can also be customised to fit.

Fence Privacy Screens FAQs

How tall should a fence privacy screen be?

Most screens are designed to fit standard fence heights, ranging from 1.8–2.4 meters. Be sure to measure your space to select the correct size & check with your local council about restrictions.

Are fence privacy screens eco-friendly?

The lovely thing about the recycled plastics are their ability to take plastics out of the oceans and landfill streams to be re-sued in a way that plants love to grow all over them. It is truly a win win.

Can I customise the size of my privacy screen?

Yes absolutely. Have a look in the specification section of the product you are interested in. You will find a get a custom quote form linked inside there.

What is the problem with timber fence privacy screens?

There are 3 main problems. 1st is that they require a lot of maintenance re-staining them 6-12 months. 2nd is they are termite magnets if made from untreated timbers, and if they are do you really want those chemicals in your yard. 3rdly they tend to not last a long time and either break apart or twist, rot or warp.

What is the best privacy screen for noise reduction?

If you are in need of noise reduction more so than privacy we would recommend a solid concreate or brick wall. The sound will bounce off the wall not pass through.
